Annapurna Base Camp Trek

One of the most famous treks of Annapurna region is Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The journey to base camp takes us closer to tenth highest peak of world, Mt. Annapurna, standing still at a height of 8091 meters above sea level. Beautiful views of mountains and hills will leave you breathless as this trek covers sub-tropical vegetation to alpine vegetation. The attractions of Annapurna Base Camp Trek are magnificent views of high peaks, roaring sounds of fast flowing rivers and culture and tradition of people of Annapurna region. Great views of Annapurna I, II and III, Gangapurna, Machapuchare and Hiunchuli can be seen along the trek.

Every trek of Annapurna Region starts off with drive to beautiful lake city of Pokhara which takes us approximately 6 hours, on windy and bumpy road. Again we take short drive from lake city to village of Nayapul before continuing on our journey to small villages of Birenthanti, Ulleri and so on. Before arriving at village of Ulleri, we will come across stone stair with more than 3000 steps. A long and hard walk up 3000 steps takes us to village of Ulleri and from there; we will trek to Ghorepani and get ourselves up to Poon Hill for wonderful 360 degree view of Annapurna Massif. The Cherrapunji of Nepal, Pokhara, lets us get involved in its beauty and gets our attention with its charismatic natural sceneries and flora and fauna.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek takes 12-18 days for its completion based on your schedule and/or fitness level. This trek requires a moderate level of fitness as hardest part of this trek is climb of 3000 steps that leads us to village of Ulleri.
