Everest Base Camp Trek

Description

One of the most popular and adventurous trek of the country is the Everest Base Camp Trek. The journey to the Base Camp brings us closer to the first successful climbers of the glorious Everest, Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. The beauty of this region will leave you speechless as this trek takes you to all the glorious places surrounding the base camp. The attractions of this trek include spectacular panoramic views of the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest together with other high mountains of the Mahalangur Mountain Range like Nuptse, Lhotse, Cho Oyu and Ama Dablam. This trek also provides us a chance to experience the culture and tradition of Sherpa People mixed with their hospitality.

Like every other trek of the Everest Region, this trek also starts with a 30 minute flight to the Tenzing and Hillary Airport of the Lukla village. The trek then covers other popular villages like Phakding, Namche Bazaar and Tengboche. The trek takes us to the Tengboche monastery which is the oldest monastery of the region. Through this trek, you will also experience walking on a glacier. You will be able to take a stroll on the highest glacier of the world, the Khumbu Glacier. Completion of this trek takes 14-20 days based on your schedule and requires a moderate level of fitness.
